My favorite media-inspired holiday (aside from Mean Girls Day) is Galentine’s Day and it’s coming up! Galentine’s Day is a celebration of women inspired by Leslie Knope of the TV series Parks & Recreation and takes place on February 13th. Every year, I try to make a point to celebrate by letting my friends know how much I love them with a card, some chocolates, or other exciting gifts. This year, I’ve put together a little list of ideas that you can gift your best lady friends. Whether you’re “just gals bein’ pals” or literally just friends, Galentine’s Day is about “ladies celebrating ladies,” so schedule a movie night together or a night at the bar and let’s celebrate womanhood! Here are 13 gift ideas for February 13th’s celebration:
Disclaimer: Some of the gift ideas on this list are for people who have vaginas or menstruate but it’s super important to include our trans sisters in the celebration, too. This holiday is about who you are, not what genitals you have!
Obviously, no Galentine’s Day celebration would be complete without some chocolate for a guilt-free indulgence, so this is a good place to start. You can get all cute and include those over-priced heart-shaped boxes of your favorite assortments, but if you look in the regular candy aisle, you can usually score the same brands in their year-long packaging for less money. My personal recommendations would include the Russell Stover’s Nut, Chewy, and Crisp assortment or a bag of Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Raspberry Squares. Yum!
We can’t all be Leslie Knope and include a 5,000-word essay on why we love our friends, but it is nice to include a little note to put your appreciation into words. Buying a box of those little Valentine’s Day cards kids exchange in school will work for giving out mass Galentine’s gifts but if you’re focusing on one special friend or lover, I recommend a full-size card where you can really get sappy with it. You can score some actual Galentine’s Day cards on Amazon, but a simple blank card will do just fine, too.
For the wine aficionado in your life, a bottle of their favorite vino is always a good gift idea. It’s a nice way for some ladies to set the mood for a night of self-care and relaxation, whether that be alone in the bath or with your best friend (or, you know, in the bath with your best friend!). For the ladies who have a stocked selection, try gifting them a wine tumbler or special bag for day-drinking in stealth mode.
Perfume is a cute little gift for her that will leave her feeling like a beauty queen. I recommend a small bottle in a simple scent you know she’d like. Take note if she uses body spray or scented candles around the house–does she tend to choose floral scents, fruity scents, or rich, sweet scents? Maybe even try something with pheromones if she’s single and looking, like this pheromone roll-on perfume by Pure Instinct.
5. Bath & Body Products
Pampering yourself and promoting self-care is a big part of how I view this holiday. Some great gift ideas for your favorite ladies are bath and body products that encourage relaxation. Try the Head Over Heels pheromone bubble bath or a bottle of Sliquid Soak. For a close friend you know likes to keep a close shave, I hear amazing things about Coochy shave cream. It’s not just for pubic hair, though–one of my friends even uses this product exclusively for her legs and swears by it.
6. Menstrual Cup
Depending on how close you are to your bestie, this may or may not be a really nice gift for Galentine’s Day. If you both find yourselves constantly bitching about your periods, a silicone menstrual cup could be a product she didn’t even know she needed. I recommend the Fun Factory Fun Cup or this one by Femintimate. Be careful to look at sizes because there is usually a size difference for people who have given birth or not.
There are a lot of perks to using a menstrual cup, though, including environmental impacts, reducing your risk for Toxic Shock Syndrome, and avoiding all the chemicals that certain tampon companies use in their products. Silicone menstrual cups are a safe alternative to pads and tampons that some people can even wear during sex. Obviously use your best judgement with this gift to avoid embarrassing a shy friend, but keep in mind there’s no shame about menstruation.
7. Stronic Real
The Stronic Real isn’t a cheap gift option by any means but for the girl who’s got to have it all, this is it. Give her the power of a fucking machine in the palm of her hands with this thrusting realistic (or, you know, bubble-gum pink) luxury sex toy. Nothing says, “gal pals” like the gift of unlimited orgasms. Trust me, though, you’re going to want to keep it for yourself.

8. Magic Wand Rechargeable
The most iconic sex toy of all time just may be the Hitachi (rebranded as the “Magic Wand”). While some say there’s just no beating the original, others prefer the updated Magic Wand Rechargeable. This wand is a powerhouse that will provide her with years of entertainment, fully worth the investment. Regardless of its benefits as a back massager, there’s no denying what this was made for. Make sure you gift her this discreetly.

9. The Water Slyde
For the girl who isn’t about materialism or sex toys with a lot of bells and whistles, the Water Slyde is the perfect gift. It’s a very simply-designed diverter for your bathtub. All you need to do is tie it onto the tap and enjoy a warm jet of water right where you crave it most–without the intense yoga-like positioning to make it work. It’s perfect for a pampered self-care night with some wine, candles, and maybe even a bath bomb.
10. Kegel Toys
Show your best friend you love her by gifting her a toy that will help keep her on top of her kegel exercises. Activating your kegels helps strengthen your muscles and can lead to easier and stronger orgasms and is quite easy to do, especially with a toy. I suggest starting off with something affordable, like this silicone kegel trainer by Cal Exotics or the Pillow Talk “frisky” kegel set, which is decked out with a crystal to make you feel like a princess while you work on your vaginal muscles.
11. Butt Plugs
For exceptionally close friendships or your significant other, a butt plug can be a nice little gift that will make her blush. This is especially fun for those just starting off with anal play. The best beginner plugs, in my opinion, are the Little Flirt and Perfect Plug–both by Tantus. Tantus toys are all 100% silicone, so they’re totally body-safe and super comfortable to wear. These two are great toys for starting off because of their non-intimidating size, ergonomic shape, and well-designed bases. Encourage your girl to explore her body by destigmatizing anal sex because plenty of women find anal to be really pleasurable.

12. Bullet Vibes
A classic sex toy that everyone should have in their toy box is a good bullet vibe. Bullet vibes are staples in the sex toy industry because they can be used for clitoral stimulation and internal stimulation, without being too bulky or noticeable like a big vibrator wand. They don’t always pack the same power, but they’re amazing for those who need to be discreet or travel a lot. For those who love power and affordability, try the Exposed Nocturnal by Blush. It’s body-safe, rechargeable, and waterproof!

13. Gift Cards
Can’t decide on the perfect gift? Not sure what will work best for her? You can always give her the freedom to choose her own adventure with a gift card to an online retailer. I recommend companies like SheVibe, Peepshow Toys, Vibrant, or Betty’s Toy Box for that special something you may not be comfortable choosing for her.
I hope you enjoyed this list of gift options for Galentine’s Day. Be sure to tell all the ladies in your life to enjoy themselves this February 13th because this is a time to celebrate our womanhood. Treat yourself and your friends with little indulgents, some scheduled self-care, and maybe a few orgasms.
