I was first introduced to the B-Vibe Rimming Plug at the 2017 Brooklyn Sex Expo. While I’m not the biggest fan of anal toys, I definitely dabble at times. The Rimming Plug was like nothing I’d seen before, though. I picked up the display model and an associate explained its features to me. He clicked a remote and the neck of the plug spun around in my hand. I was never one to push the idea of rimming in the bedroom, but I desperately wanted this toy so I could explore the sensation for myself. What really intimidated me, however, was the size. The Rimming Plug is 1.5” in diameter and 5” in insertable length–definitely outside of my comfort range. I left empty-handed and discouraged, but kept thinking about that plug long after the expo.
It wasn’t until a few months later when I was exchanging emails with B-Vibe’s founder, Alicia Sinclair, that I learned about a new version of the Rimming Plug–the Rimming Plug Petite–was soon to hit the market. Sinclair, a certified sex educator and winner of XBIZ’s Businesswoman of the Year award, graciously offered to send me one to try out for myself in exchange for an honest review.
Packaging
The B-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite comes neatly packaged in a box inside a paper sleeve. All the product specifications you need to know are clearly printed on the outside in multiple languages. The box slides out of the sleeve and is held together with a magnetic closure. Inside, you’ll find a bunch of goodies!

The carrying case is actually really nice and comes in use if you’ll be using this plug in public settings. I always bring my case along if I’m using the plug while out to dinner or at the movies in case I need to discreetly remove it and store it somewhere while I’m out. It’s also a convenient way to travel with your plug (the plug has a travel lock option) or even store it at home so it doesn’t become separated from the remote and charging cord.
Features
The only thing better than silicone toys are seamless silicone toys! The Rimming Plug Petite is totally silky-smooth with no rough edges in the design. It feels wonderful and glides very easily with a little water-based lube. The silicone is also completely non-porous, hypoallergenic, phthalate-free, and easy to clean.
While the original Rimming Plug was 1.5” in diameter and 5” long, the Petite is 1.4” in diameter and 3.9” long. As much as I loved the idea of a smaller version of this toy, the size difference didn’t seem all that huge when I finally got to try it out. Personally, the length of an anal toy doesn’t give me as much trouble as the girth of it, which I feel could have been improved on. Still, I was determined to love it.
It has a lot of great features on the surface you shouldn’t overlook. With a wireless remote control option and a USB charging cord, it’s a sleek, modern use of sex toy technology. The remote works up to 30 feet away, so some discreet anal play during a night out is completely possible with B-Vibe. It also has a travel lock, so you don’t have to worry about it accidently turning on in your purse!
Charging only takes two hours and will allow for an hour of continuous play before needing to be plugged in again. The USB charging cord can be used with a computer or with an outlet adapter and attaches magnetically to the base of the plug. There’s even a indicator light to let you know if it needs to be charged.
The Rimming Plug Petite is also splash-proof, meaning you can get it wet, but you shouldn’t fully submerge it in water. Taking it into the shower is totally fine, and cleaning is a breeze. Simply wash with warm water and antibacterial soap or soak in a 5-10% bleach solution and rinse well for a deeper clean. While you can share this toy between bleach soaks, I recommend using a condom if the toy will be used on more than one person.
Functions
The Rimming Plug Petite has seven rotation patterns and six vibration patterns–all with six intensity levels each. Without a doubt, you’ll find a combination you like! The remote makes cycling through a lot easier, but you can also use the button on the plug itself.
The remote control has five buttons. The top button cycles the vibration functions, the left decreases intensity, the middle is the power button, the right increases intensity, and the bottom button switches the direction of the rotation.
There is an internal vibrator as well as rotating metal beads in the neck of the plug that simulates the “rimming” sensation.
The seven rotation patterns are as follows:
- Rotates left
- Rotates right
- Rotates left and right swiftly
- Rotates left and right
- Rotates left, pauses, makes a swift right rotation
- Rotates left for a long period, pauses, rotates right
- Rotates slowly, speeds up, slows down, etc.
Combined with the six different internal vibration intensity levels, there’s a huge range of sensation to be had with this plug. The trick is playing around with the combinations until you find which ones you really like. There’s a little bit of a learning curve with the controls of this plug, but once you know what you like, it’s simple to get to the right setting.
Final Thoughts
Although the Petite version of the original Rimming Plug is smaller in length, it’s still 1.4” in diameter–which isn’t much of a difference from the original 1.5”. This slight change is disappointing to me, as it doesn’t really offer itself as an option for those who aren’t able to use an anal toy that thick. If the point of the Petite was to allow more inexperienced folks to use their product and maybe work up to the original, they should have focused on making more of a size difference between the models.
I don’t often use large anal toys, so working up to this plug is difficult for me. It’s a shame, too, because I very much enjoy the sensations it provides. I find myself often wishing I could use it more regularly without having to work up past my comfort levels.
The size is, however, my only complaint with this toy. It’s possible the size of the motor or the beads in the neck make sizing down this plug difficult, but I’m hoping for an even smaller version to come out soon.
I’ve yet to experience any functional problems with my plug, but I’m happy to report that B-Vibe offers a one-year warranty on this product in case you have any problems. It’s always nice to see warranties on more high-tech toys so you know you’ll be covered if anything doesn’t work when you bring it home. This toy is a bit of an investment, so that’s important to keep in mind.
All in all, the B-Vibe Rimming Plug Petite is a revolutionary product on the sex toy market and the sensations are phenomenal. This is not your run-of-the-mill sex toy, and it’s probably unlike any anal plug you’ve tried before. The seamless design, remote functionality, and range of sensations make this the best and most exciting anal toy I’ve yet to experience. While I wouldn’t recommend it as someone’s first anal plug, it is definitely something I’d suggest for someone looking to invest in a luxury toy they’ll love for years to come.
