Review: Uberrime Astra Artifex

Appearance

Uberrime has been making beautiful silicone creations since 2015 and their range of options emcompasses both realistic and fantasy designs. Their new dildo, the Astra, is a firm g-spot toy that’s perfect for vaginal or anal use and comes in a stunning selection of colors.

Measurements of a medium Astra

SheVibe carries four colorful designs of the Astra and each one is gorgeous. I chose the Astra Letty in medium for this review. This marbled design of blues, greens, and golds was originally called “gamecock” by Uberrime, but SheVibe has been known to rename some of their stocked products with pop culture references. SheVibe’s other color options include: Atticus, which Uberrime refers to as a “retrofuturistic, industrial steam-powered machinery inspired” design, a marbled “Ruby” red, and a blue, green, and pearl mixture named after the Amazon Queen, Hippolyta. A small and large version of the Astra is also available. See the size chart below for specific measurements.

My Experience

The Uberrime Astra was a dream come true for me. While I absolutely adore the Uberrime creations I have previously reviewed, my one critique of them has been that many of their dildos are on the squishier side. While tons of folks love the feel of a squishy silicone toy filling them up, I’ve found that I do much better for solo masturbation when toys are a bit firmer. Between the firmer density of this particular model (Shore 16A, for anyone wondering) and its super smooth, tapered bulbous head, this model is a dream for my particular tastes.

Not only did I love the design on the head of this toy, but I also fell in love with the added feature Uberrime incorporated on the base of the Astra. It’s a little difficult to photograph well, but on the base of the toy on the side where it curves in to hit the g-spot, there is a small raised ridge. This ridge sits right on the crest of the labia during use, which means you can grind down on it for some added clitoral stimulation. I never thought I’d find a simple ridge on a toy to be so ingenious but Uberrime is always surprising me!

Care & Cleaning

Cleaning your Uberrime Astra is super easy, thanks to the non-porous silicone and its incredibly smooth design. Since there are no raised textures, seams, or embedded logos on the toy, there are no tiny little nooks and crannies for bacteria to hide, making it a whole lot easier to keep clean! It’s also easily sanitized for sharing or going from anal to vaginal use by boiling for five minutes, soaking in a 10% bleach solution, or putting on the top rack of your dishwasher on the sanitize setting. Conclusion

The Uberrime Astra is the epitome of simplicity, perfected. It has everything you could want in a g-spot dildo.

✔️ Made of high-quality body-safe silicone
✔️ Comes in multiple sizes
✔️ Available in several gorgeous colors
✔️ Tapered, rounded head for easy insert
✔️ Flared base for anal play or harness use
✔️ Ridge on the base for clitoral or perineum stimulation
✔️ Easy to clean and sanitizable

As far as I am concerned, this is the perfect g-spot dildo for me and I can’t express how much I love this model. The Uberrime Astra has become a new staple for me and it’s going to be staying in my usual rotation for a while. I highly recommend you check out this particular model, but also the rest of the Uberrime collection.
